Dr. Kasra “Kaz” Manavi is a Computer Scientist, Researcher and Developer specializing in the application of Complexity Science, Modeling, and Visualization to solve complex problems in Emergency Management using the lense of Collective Intelligence. He has working on a wide array of problems working with multidisciplinary teams in areas including robotic motion planning, computational biology, geospatial/geosocial modeling, and emergency response. His work emphasizes observation driven modeling and in-depth data analysis to drive insights and solutions. Dr. Manavi holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico and a MS in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
